Obituary for Nelson Ridgill

On Thursday, January 24, 2019, Nelson Ridgill, widower of the late Dorcas Setsure Dubose Ridgill, exchanged time for eternity at McLeod Health Clarendon.

Born on February 22, 1929 in Manning, he was a son of the late Thomas & Cleophas Tindal Ridgill, Sr.

A service celebrating his life will take place on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, @ 1:00pm from the Fourth Crossroad Baptist Church, 1612 Crossroads Church Road, Manning, where the Rev. G. K. Carter serves as Pastor. The Rev. Dr. Herman Gibson, Jr., Pastor of Cedar Grove, Mt. Olive, and Ranzie Grove Missionary Baptist Churches, will preside. Words of comfort will be brought by the Rev. Dr. Alice Ridgill (niece) and Pastor of the New Faith Presbyterian Church, Greenwood, SC. The service of committal will follow in the family plot located in the Fourth Crossroad Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will take place on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 West Boyce St.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the residence of his son and daughter-in-law, Adrian & Gloria Burgess Ridgill, of 1371 Larrimore Dr., Manning.
